The second legs of the Champions League knockout play-offs take place this week as teams battle to reach the last 16.

Europe’s premier competition’s revamped format has seen the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund forced into an extra two-legged play-off tie in order join the eight automatic qualifiers for the last 16 after finishing between ninth and 24th in the league phase.

Those sides include Premier League trio Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa, as well as the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid after finishing in the top eight of the league phase.

So ahead of the concluding play-off legs, here is all you need to know about the draw for the last 16.

When is the Champions League last 16 draw?

After the eight winners from the play-offs are decided across Tuesday and Wednesday this week, the draw will take place on Friday, February 21.

The draw gets started at 11am UK time.

Which clubs are in the last 16?

The clubs that finished in the top eight of the league phase went directly through to the last 16. Those clubs are as follows:

They will be joined by the winners of the eight knockout play-off round ties, featuring the clubs placed ninth to 24th, with the second legs being played on Feb. 18 and 19.
