Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen says he expects to leave the club this summer at the end of his contract.
Eriksen, 33, has played almost 100 games for the club since signing from Brentford in the summer of 2022.
He wants to continue his lgendary Denmark career into next year’s World Cup so has ruled out a return to his native country – for now.
He said: “I haven’t heard anything from the club, and therefore I assume that the collaboration will stop. That’s how I interpret it.

“My contract expires this summer, and I’m prepared to find something new. I’m fine with that. Where it will be, I haven’t decided yet.
“I’m waiting and seeing what offers come in. I’m not going to make any hasty decisions, but if the right thing comes, I’ll take it.
“The intention is not to stay in England and I’m not going to the USA, we’re not going that far. We’d like to stay in Europe, but it’s too early to go home to Denmark.
“My ambition is still to play for the national team, and therefore I don’t feel it’s time to go home.”
Eriksen collapsed after a cardiac arrest during the Euros in 2021 but has made a full recovery and played every minute of Denmark’s 2022 World Cup campaign.
He has a record 140 caps for his country and has scored 43 goals – just nine behind the record shared by Poul Nielsen and former Newcastle man Jon Dahl Tomasson.
