Amy Robach Flashes Ring on That Finger for Date Night with T.J. Holmes

Did Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes hard launch their engagement?

The former GMA3: What You Need to Know co-hosts turned couple stepped out for date night at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Monday, March 17 with Robach, 52, wearing a sparkling ring on her left ring finger as she posed next to Holmes, 47.

PEOPLE reached out to Robach and Holmes for comment. 

Robach and Holmes were all smiles on the red carpet as she showed off a dark blue jewel set in diamonds that matched the blue dress she was wearing. 

Earlier this month, the couple shut down marriage rumors, though they did confess that Robach’s mother thought the couple already tied the knot.

“The truth is my mom even asked me [if we were married] because we wear our [fitness tracking] Oura Rings,” Robach told PEOPLE while at Cirque Du Soleil’s Luzia N.Y.C. premiere with Holmes on March 6.

“She thought that maybe we had actually gotten married and not told her, and just were wearing our rings on the other finger. I was like, ‘Mom, I would definitely tell you if that were the case,’ ” the anchor added.

Holmes echoed her statements, adding, “We’re not going to do that, Mom.”

They also opened up about living together after recently revealing that they moved in together ahead of the holidays in October 2024.

Holmes told PEOPLE, “We just know each other so well for so long. We’ve been best friends for so long. We spend so much time together. I don’t think there was a surprise of any kind.”

Despite their years of friendship, Robach admitted she was surprised to learn that the journalist “has to sleep with the television on at all times.”

“I did not know that. How would I know that if we were just friends?” she said.

Robach and Holmes’ relationship made headlines when they sparked romance rumors in November 2022, after photos surfaced of them holding hands in a car during a vacation in upstate New York and subsequently spending time at a bar together in New York City.

At the time, they were both married to other people.

Robach was married to actor Andrew Shue, with Holmes married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. However, a source told PEOPLE no overlap occurred between their romance and their respective marriages.

Following the news, they were both let go from Good Morning America.

In a late October episode of their joint podcast, Amy & T.J., Robach said the situation sent her spiraling. 

“Going through the last two years, I had moments where I struggled because the narrative that was being spun about me — and about us — weighed on me, and I had to work through that,” she said.

“I fell into a little bit of that spiral when we were constantly in the headlines and people had the narrative wrong and were judgmental, and I felt the weight of that,” Robach added, noting that she’s now moved past the noise.
