vivo’s V50e has been rumored since November, and yet it’s still not official. That, however, will change in mid-April, according to a new report. That’s when the device will finally launch in India.
If you’ve been wondering what to expect from it in terms of design, it’s allegedly not going to be original. Instead, it will basically be a carbon copy of the vivo S20, which was released in December – see below.
The V50e will ape the S20’s marble finish, its dual camera circular island at the back, its ring light below the camera sensors, everything.
A past rumor already told us that the V50e will come with a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED screen with “1.5K” resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, up to 256GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera using Sony’s IMX882 sensor and an 8 MP ultrawide, as well as a 50 MP selfie camera.
It will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. It will run Android 15 from day one, with vivo’s FuntouchOS 15 on top. There will also be an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance certifications, and a 5,600 mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging. So while it will look like the S20, it won’t be a straight-up rebrand of that model – in fact, only the cameras seem identical.
