Infinix Note 50 series gains its most premium member yet – the Pro+ variant with 5G connectivity. The phone was announced alongside an AI Ring and AI Buds, which are part of the company’s new AI-centric product strategy.
The Infinix Note 50 Pro+ 5G+, as is its full name, introduces a new AI assistant called Folax, which offers on-screen content recognition, instant translation, and other features.
The Note 50 Pro+ has many similarities to its Pro 4G sibling, introduced earlier this month. It has the same durable metal frame body, 6.78″ AMOLED display with 144 Hz refresh rate, UD fingerprint scanner, and a 5,200 mAh battery.
The Plus comes with a Dimensity 8350 chipset, built by Mediatek on a 4 nm process. The improved performance allows for more computing power and a suite of features, called Infinix AI∞ (yes, its name really is Infinix Infinity).
The new AI assistant Folax comes alongside AI Eraser and AI Cutout for photo editing, AI Writing, AI Note, and AI Wallpaper Generator. There are some features like Real-Time Call Translator, Call Summary, AI Auto-Answer and dual-way Speech Enhancement, but Infinix did not reveal what languages aside from English the service would cover.
There are three cameras on the back – a main 50 MP snapper and a 3x telephoto camera with a Sony IMX896 sensor.
The 5,200 mAh battery inside the Note 50 Pro+ comes with 100W wired charging support that let it go from 0 to 100% in 32 minutes. The phone also supports 50W Wireless MagCharge, which has magnets on the back to snap easily to magnetic wireless chargers. There is also 10W wired and 7.5W wireless reverse charging.
Infinix Note 50 Pro+ has a great feature that we thought died years ago – health monitoring through a sensor on the back. Here, we have a Health Manager sensor that detects blood oxygen and HR, and it sits on the camera island, right underneath the periscope camera.
The user interface is XOS 15, based on Android 15. AI also made its way here, in the UI, with Xboost AI Game engine – it is a software feature, designed to optimize hardware for specific tasks and games and prioritize attention towards esports.
The phone also supports 5.5G network, hence the “5G+” moniker. It is powered by a Super WiFi 2.0 feature that combines wireless and cellular data to boost upload speeds by 131% and download rates by 606%.
Infinix Note 50 Pro+ has three colors – Titanium Gray, Enchanted Purple, and a Racing Edition that is Silver with some fancy design elements on the back. The phone comes with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and its starting price in global markets will be $370.
Infinix did not reveal when the phone will be available for sale. It also didn’t share details about the AI Buds or the AI ring. It only confirmed that prices and availability of the Note 50 Pro+ will vary based on the region.
