Federico Chiesa is happy at Liverpool despite limited game time, according to his father.
As the international break unfolds, the Italian forward has been using the opportunity to continue his training regimen.
Chiesa has recently played a crucial role for Liverpool, netting the in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
However, his contributions have been sporadic in what has been a challenging season for him personally.
Despite speculation linking the 27-year-old with a potential summer move away from Anfield, his father, former Italy striker Enrico Chiesa, has reassured fans that Federico is satisfied with his current situation.
Speaking to Tuttosport, he said: “Federico is very happy at Liverpool, he is at a top club that is leading the Premier League and now we hope he can win the title!
“He is there to have his say, he has a great opportunity.”

So far, Chiesa has found himself primarily in a substitute role, having yet to start a Premier League match. Out of his 11 appearances for Liverpool, only two have been as part of the starting lineup.
Given his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising attacking talents – especially following his success with Italy in the 2020 Euros – his reduced involvement could be seen as a source of frustration.
However, his father has consistently reinforced a resilient mindset, urging him to remain prepared for opportunities. Reflecting on Federico’s journey, Enrico Chiesa added: “I told him over the summer what I’ve been saying since he was a kid, because the truth is, until the age of 15, he didn’t really play that often.
“When he’d ask what he should do, I told him to keep training, don’t give up, make sure you are ready when the moment comes.”
No Regrets Over Juventus Exit
Amid ongoing rumours of a potential summer departure, Enrico Chiesa dismissed any notion of regret regarding Federico’s move from Juventus to Liverpool.
“Regrets are just alibis for losers. No, there are no regrets,” he said.
While many of his Liverpool team-mates departed for international duty, Chiesa was the only senior outfield player who remained at the club due to not being called up.
Taking advantage of the break, he returned to Italy but remained dedicated to his training. Over the weekend, he posted an Instagram photo of himself working out in his Liverpool gear against the backdrop of the Dolomites.
With nine Premier League games remaining, there is still time for Chiesa to stake his claim for a more significant role at Anfield.
Whether he stays beyond the summer remains uncertain, but for now, his focus remains on contributing whenever called upon.
