Endrick hints at Real Madrid exit to ensure Brazil spot at 2026 World Cup

Endrick has suggested he may consider leaving Real Madrid as he aims to keep his World Cup aspirations alive.

The 18-year-old forward joined the Spanish club from Palmeiras for €60 million last summer, but his opportunities in the first team have been limited.

Despite netting six goals in 28 appearances across all competitions, he has yet to start a match in LaLiga and has only played 109 minutes in the league, mostly appearing as a substitute.

In the January transfer window, there were rumours linking Endrick with a potential loan move, with several Premier League clubs said to be interested.

The young talent has acknowledged that he will reassess his situation when the summer transfer window opens.

With three goals in 13 appearances for Brazil, Endrick is worried about his future role in the national team, especially with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon.

Although he was initially left out of Brazil’s squad for the March international break, Endrick was called up late after Neymar withdrew due to injury.

In a conversation with Romario, the teenager openly expressed his anxiety about missing out on the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

“To be honest, what goes through my head a lot is that I’m afraid of not being at the 2026 World Cup,” Endrick confessed.

“I’m worried… because it’s my dream to be at World Cup. It’s even difficult to speak about that. I want go help Brazil to win the sixth World Cup.”

Head coach Dorival Junior has tried to reassure the youngster that his time will come.

He added:  “Endrick has been closely monitored. I had a 2.5-hour conversation with Ancelotti. We talked about many subjects, especially the moment Endrick is experiencing.

“He is evolving a lot. The work at Palmeiras is very well done. Endrick is in a new phase, mature, that’s natural.”
