After Greek side Olympiacos lifted their first major European trophy by winning the Conference League last season, their successors will be decided in the final of the fourth edition of the competition.
Olympiacos beat Fiorentina 1-0 courtesy of Ayoub El Kaabi’s 116th-minute winner in Athens, ensuring that all three finals held so far have been decided by one goal.
Fiorentina lost the 2023 final via Jarrod Bowen’s 90th-minute goal in Prague, and Nicolo Zanilo scored the only goal in the 32nd minute as Roma won the inaugural final against Feyenoord.
