Family fun! Kailyn Lowry sat down with ET to share how she makes time for each of her seven children after appearing on KILLR Network’s podcast, Cate and Ty: Break it Down, with Catelynn and Ty Baltierra. and guest-starring on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
The reality television star, who shares twins Verse and Valley, 1, and Rio, 2, with fiancé Elijah Scott, Isaac, 14, with ex Jo Rivera, Lincoln, 10, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin, and Lux, 7, and Creed, 4, with ex Chris Lopez, relies on the support of her work team to keep up with her various commitments.
“As the kids are getting older, several of them need to be in different places at the same time. This past Saturday, four kids had four activities between 8 and 9 a.m.,” she explains.
“I don’t think people could begin to understand the layers of seven children and what that looks like for me specifically. … I have a super supportive team with KILLR, which has been so helpful. Creating a team that is able to anticipate my needs is crucial.”
In addition to her skilled network, Lowry, who recently renewed her partnership with Podcast One, maintains her own strong work ethic, which in turn, allows her the freedom to create her own schedule.
“I know what it takes to provide for my kids both financially and their overall wellbeing. … I tell myself every day I need to work so I can create flexibility for myself in order to make all the things happen for them,” she notes.
“As a mom, I want to spend quality time with each child. There’s no way to fully bond without that piece. I think it’s important to make that a priority, no matter how many kids are in the family. … I never want my kids to be upset or feel resentful if they feel like they’re missing time with me,” the 32-year-old says.
And while this plan currently works for Lowry, the Coffee Convos with Kail Lowry and Lindsie Chrisley podcast host is ready to take on any future parenting challenges that might come her way.
“At this point in my life, I’m not looking to anyone for advice. … No advice is real in this world. Every single family, and every situation, is different. We are truly all winging it,” she exclaims.
