Sydney Sweeney Rocks $8K Vintage Dior Dress Without Engagement Ring

Sydney Sweeney is hitting the beach — and she’s bringing her vintage Dior with her!

On Friday, March 28, the Euphoria star shared a carousel of snaps to Instagram, featuring herself wearing a retro pink-and-white Christian Dior dress while out on a beach.

The dress wasn’t just any vintage Dior piece, either. It’s a John Galliano pinup-style logo mini dress, complete with an off-shoulder neckline. The brand’s iconic logo is printed across the front, and it comes with a pretty big price tag.

The dress previously sold for $8,900, per a sold listing from 1stDibs, so it isn’t just Sweeney, 27, who has her eye on the piece.

In the photos, Sweeney can be seen with wavy hair, her feet in the sand and — in one shot — a matching bucket hat on her head. Another snap seen on the actress’ Instagram Stories also showed her enjoying some water and looking back at the camera while rocking the throwback dress.

Sweeney opted not to wear her engagement ring for the photoshoot. It comes days after the Eden star seemingly deleted a photo of herself kissing her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, on New Year’s Eve from Instagram.

The removal of the photo was first reported by DeuxMoi on Monday, March 24, as fans continue to speculate about her relationship with her film producer fiancé, 41. Current reports claim she’s staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel by herself. Representatives for Sweeney did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.

The pair got engaged in 2022, around four years after they reportedly began dating. In March 2022, PEOPLE confirmed that the pair were officially engaged after the actress was spotted rocking a large diamond while out in L.A.

Sweeney told Glamour UK in December 2023 that Davino was her “best friend” and that they had been in a “steady relationship for a really long time.”

“Everyone is always so curious about who I’m with and what’s that like, but I think it’s important to have something for me,” she added.

Sweeney’s latest photoshoot arrives just a day after she shared an additional photo and video to Instagram, featuring herself wearing a string bikini and a pair of sunglasses while relaxing at the bottom of a pool — possibly during a recent girls’ vacation to Africa.

Soundtracked by the 1989 Chris Isaak song “Wicked Game,” the video showed Sweeney rocking the FAE x Revolve Lumi top and Jones bottom in lace and denim. Sweeney has also given fans a few looks into the recent vacation to Africa, from snaps of a hot air balloon trip in Tanzania to pics on a safari accompanied by the caption, “this was wild.”
