Maggie Gyllenhaal Wears Tie That Appears to Be Made Out of Braided Hair

Maggie Gyllenhaal is having a good hair day, times two!

The actress, 47, commanded attention as she stepped out for the Warner Bros. Pictures presentation at 2025 CinemaCon, held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Tuesday, April 1.

Gyllenhaal went classic with a twist for the occasion, pairing a suit and dress shirt with a tie — that appeared to be made of braided hair.

Her balayage braid started off dark at her neck, but turned a lighter shade of brown as the “mane” attraction to her look continued.

She and her unique accessory seemed to coordinate as Gyllenhaal’s own hair was the same shade as the top portion of her tie, styled in a pixie cut that was parted to the side.

Letting the tie be the center of attention for her dark-colored suit, the Dark Knight alum went with minimal makeup and a dark red lip that matched her manicure.

Gyllenhaal’s appearance at CinemaCon Tuesday was to debut a theatrical first look at her upcoming horror film, The Bride

The movie will be her punk rock take on Frankenstein’s monster, as she serves as a producer and director for the project.

Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley star as Frankenstein’s monster and the Bride of Frankenstein, respectively. Buckley previously worked with Gyllenhaal on The Lost Daughter, which earned her an Oscar nomination.

“Here comes the mother f—ing bride,” is The Bride’s newly released tagline, Variety reported Tuesday.

According to the outlet, the film’s first look opens with the bride falling down a flight of stairs and waking up on an operating table after breaking multiple bones. Though she gets fixed up, she’s now only good enough to be the monster’s lover.

“It wasn’t any accident,” a voice in the trailer says. “They did it on purpose.”

Penélope Cruz, Annette Bening and Gyllenhaal’s husband, Peter Sarsgaard, also star in the upcoming sci-fi thriller.

In December, PEOPLE exclusively spoke to the Presumed Innocent star, 54, about how he makes his 15-year marriage to Gyllenhaal work.

“We take turns in terms of our work,” he told PEOPLE. “I think that’s one of the things that you just sort of have to do is let someone have their dance and then you take your dance. There is great value in that.”

The couple married in May 2009 and share two daughters: Ramona and Gloria Ray.

“I think at one point I used to think that I would work more if I could,” Sarsgaard continued. “But I think that’s wrong. I think I would’ve done a lot more things that I was not proud of. So when I say yes to do something, it’s some type of sacrifice for me. Not a big one. Everyone else has got bigger sacrifices in the world, but just talking artistically — I can’t work constantly. I have a whole other life. I have a family.”

The Bride opens in theaters on Sept. 26.
