Motorola unveiled the Edge 60 Fusion today, and lo and behold, it’s in our office and ready for review!
There are regional differences with the Edge 60 Fusion – some regions get a 5,500mAh battery, while others (like ours) get a 5,200mAh unit – both are bigger than the 5,000mAh of its predecessor, though. Some regions will get a Dimensity 7300 in their Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, while others will get the 7400. Luckily, there’s not much of a difference between the two SoCs. Finally, some regions get Motorola’s 68W USB-C charger – we didn’t – the phone ships with a USB cable and a hard case.
Motorola is one of the few brands still making phones with curving displays and thin side rails. Whether you’re team curved or team flat is entirely personal (we’re about evenly split here at GSMArena), but the design does make the Edge 60 Fision stand out.
Upfront is an impressive 6.67-inch OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The 10-bit unit is lovely to look at, especially once you’ve fired up some HDR content.
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion in Slipstream
Ours is the Slipstream blue model – there are also a cyan-ey Amazonite and a rose-color Zephyr. Different models have different back panel finishes – the Amazonite is a textile-inspired one, and our unit has a vegan leather finish. We think Moto is one of the best at doing faux leather on phones – the texture feels nice and soft and is very tactile.
Though svelte, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion isn’t frail. It has both IP68 and IP69 certification for water (including pressure jets) and dust resistance, as well as MIL-STD-810H tests for drop resistance (tested from 1.22m), extreme temperatures (-20°C to 60°C), and altitudes up to 4500m.
We just got the Edge 60 Fusion, so we ask for your patience but our review is underway!
