Samsung’s Tab S FE series skips a generation with releases in 2021, 2023 and now 2025. Patience pays off as each upgrade feels more substantial, but these are still very much Samsung’s mid-range offerings.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ brings a larger 13.1” display, which has almost 12% more surface area than the 12.4” panel of its predecessor. This also makes it bigger than the 12.4” Tab S10+, though not as big as the 14.6” Tab S10 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE sticks with the 10.9” screen size but is 4% lighter than its predecessor (going from 523g down to 497g). The FE+ put on some weight due to the larger display (from 627g to 664g). Both tablets are slimmer than the 2023 models and now measure 6.0mm, down from 6.5mm. This hasn’t affected battery capacity, though, more on that in a bit.
Both FE tablets have 90Hz LCDs with 800 nit high brightness mode. Samsung sells an anti-reflective screen protector, a smart book cover and two keyboard covers. An S Pen is included in the retail package, but note that it’s the kind without Bluetooth functionality (that’s not new, the S Pens that came with the Tab S9 FE also lacked the remote features).
This year’s FE tablets are powered by the Exynos 1580 that is also found in the Galaxy A56. It’s the first mid-range Exynos to use ARMv9 cores (Cortex-A720 and A520) and the second to use AMD graphics – now based on RDNA 3 and with two work groups, not just one like on the Exynos 1480. The Tab S9 FE used the older 1380 chip, though, so like we said, this is a substantial upgrade.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ are available in two configurations: 8/128GB and 12/256GB. There is a microSD slot (supporting cards up to 2TB), but the extra built-in storage comes with more RAM too. Whichever model you pick, the Galaxy AI features are available.
Circle to Search works great with the S Pen and you can even take notes and do homework – Solve Math will solve handwritten equations while Handwriting Help will tidy up and organize your notes. There are also Object Eraser and Best Face for photos, Auto Trim for videos (it quickly edits together multiple clips to create highlight reels). The Tab S10 FE series also comes pre-loaded with LumaFusion, Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, Noteshelf 3, Sketchbook, Picsart and more. There is even a Galaxy AI Key on the Book Cover Keyboard for quick access.
Both tablets are rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, which is pretty rare on tablets, but is a selling point for Samsung slates. The two tablets have stereo speakers and a fingerprint reader built into the power button.
The Tab S10 FE has an 8,000mAh battery, while the larger Tab S10 FE+ has a 10,090mAh battery. Both support 45W fast charging, but you’ll have to supply your own.
Like last year, the front-facing camera has a 12MP sensor and an ultra-wide lens. There is only a single camera on the back, one with a higher resolution 13MP sensor. There is no ultra-wide lens like on the Tab S9 FE+.
For connectivity, the tablets have Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.3. There is optional 5G connectivity (sub-6GHz) if you want it. Those tablets are dual-SIM with one physical card in the slot and one eSIM.
