How to Watch All the ‘Bad Boys’ Movies in Order

It makes sense that an iconic movie franchise would feature equally legendary costars, and the Bad Boys series is no exception. Actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have now led the cast for 30 years in four action-packed films.

Smith and Lawrence, as cops Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett, kicked off the franchise 30 years ago with the original Bad Boys on April 7, 1995. Directed by Michael Bay, the film follows the police partners through their investigations as narcotics detectives in Miami-Dade County. As one could expect from the actors, their onscreen hijinks are as entertaining as ever in the action-comedy series.

The latest entry in the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, premiered in theaters in June 2024. Luckily for fans of the films, there is plenty of potential for more action to come — Smith and Lawrence even hinted at a possible fifth iteration in a 2024 interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“In a movie theater with Mike and Marcus, it just feels like home,” Smith said. “So, as long as there’s a reason — I never wanted to be one of those dudes who make sequels just because people will go.”

As Bad Boys celebrates its 30th anniversary, read on for how to watch the whole franchise — including a spinoff television series that starred Gabrielle Union‘s character, DEA agent Sydney Burnett.
