Weezer Bassist’s Spouse Catches Lesser Prices in Cop Shootout Case in L.A.

The spouse of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner was hit with felony gun costs Tuesday … however, she appears to have caught a break — as a result of she was dealing with a much more critical allegation.

Los Angeles County District Lawyer Nathan Hochman formally charged Jillian Lauren Shriner with felony discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm. Jillian was initially booked on suspicion of tried homicide of a peace officer within the April incident.

As we first reported … Shriner was shot within the shoulder by law enforcement officials after allegedly pointing and firing at them on April 8 — cops have been looking out her neighborhood for a suspect in an unrelated crime when she got here out of her home with a pistol in her hand to research.

Body cam and security footage present officers behind a wood fence in a neighboring yard yelling at her to drop the gun … she then seems to boost her arm and fireplace, prompting officers to shoot again.

Prosecutors declare the alleged assault was “upon one in every of a gaggle of three people standing behind a fence within the yard of an adjoining property” within the Eagle Rock neighborhood of L.A. on April 8.

After she was struck, Shriner walked again inside her home. A lady who works for her known as police from the home, and from the launched recording of the decision, it appeared Shriner did not understand she had confronted law enforcement officials … the decision gave the impression to be about reporting a prowler within the neighborhood.

Shriner and the girl surrendered to officers exterior the home inside an hour. Shriner was handled at a hospital, then arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of a peace officer. She was later launched on $1 million bond.

Prosecutors are in search of as much as 19 years in jail if she’s convicted.
