Fans Praise Kelly Clarkson’s Makeup-Free Look

Kelly Clarkson is comfortable in her skin.

In a sneak peek of the Thursday, March 27, episode of Kylie Kelce‘s Not Gonna Lie podcast, the three-time Grammy winner, 42, appeared as a guest — seemingly without a drop of make-up.

The Kelly Clarkson Show host went for a relaxed vibe, wearing a gray sweatshirt and a coordinating baseball cap.

Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail, showing off her fresh face.

“Kelly with no make up – how great is that ! Thank you for being normal in so many ways with the fame you have,” one person commented.

Another added, “Her in no glam is everything to me.”

One fan chimed in with, “I like how people feel comfortable showing up as themselves on this podcast. They don’t feel like they have to be all dolled up and I think that’s cool,” while another wrote, “Kelly pulling up with no makeup🙌Forever my favorite idol.”

In an April 2018 candid Q&A for PEOPLE’s The Beautiful Issue, the “Behind These Hazel Eyes” singer shared her surprising beauty mantra.

“My beauty mantra is, ‘Y’all, I just don’t really care!’ ” Clarkson said.

“And I mean that in a positive way. I just don’t care about things I feel like people put a lot of weight and gravity in,” she continued. “I do thank my upbringing for that. I just, I care about things that I feel like are important. So my beauty mantra is just to be a beautiful, kind, nice and thoughtful [person].”

Clarkson also credited her kids for her style.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer shares daughter River Rose Blackstock, 10, and son Remington Alexander Blackstock, 8, with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

The talent manager, 48, is also a dad to two children from a previous relationship.

“[My beauty icon] might be our daughters,” she said. “Not to say that our boys aren’t devilishly handsome! I just mean our girls are so different, and they’re just bold in their own ways and it’s beautiful to watch just fresh-faced kids adoring life and enjoying their life. It’s not chaotic yet with any of the BS that gets put on women sometimes.”

Clarkson added, “It’s nice to look beautiful and it’s nice to get dolled up, but, it’s a different kind of thing when you get a smile from someone because you’ve done something that’s touched them.”

According to the singer, “growing up,” her mother taught her that value should be placed more on a person’s character than “aesthetics.”

Clarkson also talked about parenthood in the upcoming episode of Kelce’s podcast, revealing her school system pet peeve.

“I’m not gonna lie, I don’t know when the school systems thought it would be a good plan for families and their emotional stability to start having performances at 10 a.m. during the week. This just in — a lot of us work,” she quipped.
